HTW-Space

Access to the HTW-Space

The Hochschulrechenzentrum (HRZ) provides you as a member of the HTW with a personal storage area. This area is referred as “HTW space” in the following. Please note that this resource (like all of the HTW) may only be used for research and teaching purposes or for your work as an employee of the HTW.
The HTW space has 20 gigabytes of storage space per user and is located in a central Active Directory-Domain.

Access via web browser

Members of the HTW have access to files from their own home directory via a website. These can also be released for third parties and shared via URL, password-protected if desired. The group directories of the HRZ and the involved  faculties are also included.

The access options are documented in detail below:

Access using an additional programm (SMB)

The SMB protocol enables you to access the files in the HTW space and to integrate them as an additional drive on your computer.

Outside the HTW (e.g. at home) it is necessary to first establish a VPN connection to the university! This article will walk you through on how to do it on your computer.
